How to List a Vite Token Trading Pair on VITCSwap DEX

VITCSwap Benefits

Listing a Vite token on VITCSwap has some advantages over ViteX. Firstly, it’s much cheaper at only 500 Vite, compared to the 10,000 Vite required by ViteX. Additionally, ViteX charges 10,000 Vite for every trading pair listed. With VITCSwap, a token only needs to be listed once for 500 Vite, and then it becomes swappable with every other token already listed.

Listing on VITCSwap is easy and fully decentralized. Comparatively, on ViteX listing is also decentralized, however a Github pull request must be approved and merged by a member of Vite, or all trades will show users a warning message that the operator is unknown. VITCSwap doesn’t have any such manual approval requirement.

All trades on VITCSwap incur a trading fee of 0.4%. Of the collected fees, 50% is provided to the liquidity providers, and the other 50% is distributed to VITC holders. When a token is listed, an initial amount of liquidity has to be provided meaning you start earning as soon as trades begin. Liquidity can later be added or removed at any time.

Swapping tokens on VITCSwap is integrated into Vitabot, meaning your token can easily be traded on Discord, a popular destination for almost all of the Vite Ecosystem.

Cost & Responsibilities

Before listing, it’s important to know the costs and responsibilities that come with listing on VITCSwap.

500
VITE

The cost to list a token on VITCSwap is 500 VITE. This one time fee will enable the token to be swappable with every other token already listed on VITCSwap.

This 500 Vite fee is then distributed to all VITC holders.

Rate

A very important step of this process is setting the initial rate of exchange.

If the token is already listed on ViteX, then simply check the current exchange rate and enter that.

If it’s not already listed elsewhere, you need to pick a starting rate.

Provide
Liquidity

Liquidity is essential for trading. To provide liquidity, an equal amount of both tokens must be provided. Lets say we wanted to add $100 worth of VS to VITCSwap, we’d also need to provide $100 worth of VITE.

Anyone can provide liquidity, not just the person listing the trading pair.

Create Pair on VITCSwap

Open the VITCSwap Dapp and log in by connecting your wallet. Once logged in, select “Create Pair” and then select the desired token from the drop down menu.

Below the token, you’ll see the Pair Creation Fee of 500 VITE and the current conversion to USD.

Once ready, select Create Pair. This will present a popup in your wallet requesting the 500 VITE payment. Once payment is sent, the pair is automatically created and listed.

Set Initial Rate & Provide Liquidity

A very important step of this process is setting the initial rate of exchange for your token. If the token is already listed on ViteX, then simply go to ViteX, check the current exchange rate and enter that.

If it’s not already listed on ViteX or another exchange, you need to decide the starting rate. This can require an understanding of token economics and relative value of the tokens being listed.

Once the exchange rate is determined, enter in the amount of tokens being added as liquidity and equal parts of Vite. This will automatically calculate the rate below.

When happy with the set liquidity, click on “Add Liquidity”.

This will trigger the wallet on your phone to go through a 3 step process. During steps 1 and 2, you’ll be prompted to provide the entered amounts of both tokens.

You may notice the amount of VITE being requested is slightly higher than the amount of VITE entered. This is normal. VITCSwap prompts for a slightly higher amount to account for potential price fluctuations and mitigate impermanent loss risks.

In step 3/3, any excess from this additional amount will be returned to your wallet.
