Get your tokens working for you at Viva’s Staking Pools
How to join Viva Staking Pools to earn on Vite and Tokens
Viva was the first token on Vite to introduce pools. Offering the opportunity to earn on the tokens you already own, and even earn some new tokens. It’s super easy to get started, and of course since it’s on the Vite network, it’s also fast and feeless.
To get started, go to Viva Staking Pools. At the top right hand side of the Vivafi website tap the login button.
A QR code with appear. Open the Vite mobile app on your phone and tap camera button at the top right.
Aim the camera at the QR code to log in with the selected wallet.
If you’re using the official Vite mobile wallet, it’s recommended to visit the Viva Staking pools on a computer or secondary screen to make scanning the QR code easier.
If you only have a phone, screenshot the QR code, then load the picture from the photo roll instead of using the camera.
Don’t want to mess around with scanning QR codes? The Viterium Wallet makes it easier by having Viva Staking built in.
Now that we’re logged in, it’s just a matter of choosing which pool to join. Firstly, a quick run down on how pools work. Pools coming in pairs, a token that is earned and a token that is staked. In order to to earn on a desired token, you must have the equivalent staking coin. For instance, if you wanted to earn Viva tokens, and the only listed pool was a Viva/Vite pool, you couldn’t earn Viva with Nano, you’d need Vite.
It’s also important to check on the kind of pool you’re staking in as they come in different varieties. Some pools can be deposited and withdrawn from freely anytime. Other pools have locking periods. And a few pools have minimum or even maximum deposit amounts. This is always clearly listed, but it’s important to pay attention to as you may not want to accidentally lock a token into a 120 day locked pool.
Find a pool pair and tap on STAKE. This will present a popup to enter in the amount you’d like to stake.
If not locked, earned tokens can be claimed at any time. Additional tokens can also be added without exiting the position first.
When choosing to stake, claim or un-stake a token, it’ll send a confirmation message to the phone on the Vite app.
If you try to make a transaction that’s not allowed, such as un-staking before a locking period is over, it’ll present an error message after the confirmation.
There is a toggle above the pools that switches between Ended and Live pools. When a pool ends, it automatically moves to Ended. You must move that toggle to the Ended position to view it and unstake those assets.
It’s advised to select the Staked only checkbox and move the toggle to the Ended position every now and then as it’s easy to forget about a pool and leave tokens sitting in an ended pool.
