Easily transact with Vite and Vite tokens on Twitter.
How to send and receive Vite on Twitter with VitaBot
Do you have a Twitter account? Then you also have a Vite wallet that can send and receive Vite and Vite tokens. And no, you don’t need any browser extension to make it work, and it doesn’t require any setup.
Update:
Unfortunately due to Twitter’s new cost for using the API, VitaBot has been disabled on Twitter for now. It still works fine everywhere else.
To get started, send a DM to VitaBot with the command:
.help
VitaBot will respond with a list of available commands. Lets take a quick look at what they are and how to use them:
DM Commands
.balance
See the current tokens in your wallet.
.deposit
View the wallet address of your Twitter account as text and a QR code. Send Vite and Tokens to this address from your main wallet.
.tip <amount> {currency} @someone
.tip 1 Vite @vitespot
When sending a tip this way, the receiving account won’t get a notification of the deposit and it won’t show up as a public tweet.
.withdraw <amount|all> {currency} <vite_addr>
.withdraw all VITC vite_123
or
.withdraw 100 VITC vite_123
Use this command to withdraw to another wallet.
Public Commands
@vitctipbot tip <amount> {currency} <@someone>
@vitctipbot tip 1 Vite @vitespot
When responding to someone, the above command can be shortened by dropping the Twitter handle at the end of the Tweet.
Although VitaBot can be used to store Vite and Tokens, it’s recommended not to store large amounts on it. Instead, withdraw large amounts to a main wallet and deposit to the VitaBot wallet when needed.
Transactions on VitaBot happen on the blockchain, so they can’t be reversed or refunded.
